I don’t know about you ladies, but every month I feel like I’m battling with my vagina. Yep, I said it, my vagina. It’s like I’m fighting a little army of 100 vagina-monsters inside of me. It’s like they are loaded with cramp bombs and enough fluid to drown me in my sleep. The battle is 24 hours and almost a week long every month. You ladies know exactly what I’m talking about.

It’s like you are just waiting for the vagina-monsters to attack. Sometimes you bleed out during the day and/or sometimes they attack you during your sleep with massive cramp bombs. It’s no surprise that your period can be a pain — literally. Most of us girls have to deal with PMS, cramps, or headaches around the time of our periods. However, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come up with ways to fight back!

One week out of each month we have to go about our demanding, grown- woman schedules as we normally do except with the very real possibility of painful cramps, headaches, swollen boobs, and other such side effects of having our periods. Obviously, we keep on keeping on—because that's what we as women do! Still, we deserve some relief, don't we? Two of my biggest defense during this time of month and battling with my vagina are using the best products and enjoying my bath bombs.

About once a month I head over to my local Target to grab all of my essentials. My essentials include chocolate, Seventh Generation™ Comfort Applicator Tampons (18 count), Free & Clear fragrance-free Ultra-Thin Pads with Wings (18 count), Free & Clear Pantiliners (50 count), and supplies to make bath bombs!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN BATH BOMBS:

Supplies:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. essential oil
  • 3 tsp. oil (olive oil)
  • food coloring (any color you want)
  • bowl
  • whisk
  • jar
  • bath bomb mold

Directions:

  1. Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and then mix them all evenly with the whisk.
  2. In a separate container, mix the liquid ingredients together. Note that in this step, the essential oils, fragrances and colors are added.
  3. Slowly add the liquid mixture to the dry mix, one small spoon at a time.
  4. When well mixed, you simply pack this mixture into a bath bomb mold and pack tightly, then let it dry. Work quickly so as not to let the bath bomb mixture dry.

My next secret to battling my vagina-monsters is to use Seventh Generation™ Comfort Applicator Tampons, Pads, and Pantiliners. I love that I don’t have to worry about my tampon leaking because Seventh Generation™ has effective leak protection! I can work all day without a worry of my vagina army attacking me with a leak. The Ultra-Thin Pads with Wings and Pantilners are the bomb for when you are just starting or ending your period. You don’t have to worry about them moving around because they are secure with no-slip adhesive! Sometimes our vagina-monsters attack us before they should and with these pads and pantilners, you are always ready to fight back!
