The Big Game Day is almost here! If you’re like me, you are so excited about it that you’ve volunteered to a host a party! Well watching the big game is only half the fun. The key to making your party a huge hit is getting your best group of friends and family in an open game-viewing environment with great food!
There are probably a million things running through your mind, between choosing the best foods and organizing the perfect viewing area, and the after-party cleanup. However, hosting the Big Game Day doesn’t have to be stressful. If you plan ahead by using these three tips, you are guaranteed an extraordinary party with the new fan favorites!
1. Keep the game-viewing area open.
You can’t host a Big Game Day party without letting your guest watch the Big Game! It’s so important to make sure the TV area is open so all your guest doesn’t miss a big play! You want to create a comfortable game-viewing environment by bringing in throw pillows and comfy floor cushions. Depending on how many guests you plan on having over, you may need to temporarily rearrange your entire living room. I actually just remove all the unnecessary furniture and move in folding tables or chairs!
2. Have the best snacks!
The Big Game is never complete without a table full of great food! There are certain snack foods that everyone expects at a Super Bowl party, and chips and popcorn are just two of them. This year I decided to do a mix of new and traditional favorites! I chose Pop Secret® Popcorn, Snyder’s of Hanover® Pretzels, Cape Cod® Potato Chips, and of course, Emerald® Nuts! I like to purchase these products in all kinds of flavors because I want something for my all my guest to enjoy! With a variety of “better for you” snacks, I’m totally winning my Game Day spread!
3. Make it easy to clean-up!
After all the excitement and fun of the Big Game, I’m usually exhausted! One thing I’ve learned over the years is to use plastic and paper products for an easy post-party clean-up! Not only does this save you time and effort but you are also protecting your dishes and cups! I only use a disposable tablecloth because they are easy to pull up while keeping the mess inside. When the time comes, make sure everything on the table is disposable; then just grab each corner and throw it away!
