This year I was invited to attend a “sneak peek” of the 8th Annual BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival at the 8th Wonder Brewery in Houston. Not only did I get to taste some awesome samples of 8th Wonder brews but I learned so much about the brewing process from Aaron Corsi, head brewer from 8th wonder.

I sampled Dome Faux’m (cream ale), Astroturf (Dry-Hopped Cream Ale), Cougar Paw (Red Ale), and IP8 (double IPA & also my favorite!). It was so interesting and fun to learn about how each beer is made and how it was inspired!

I also got to eat some AMAZINGLY DELCIOUOS waffle fries combos from Eatsie Boys! Between the Philly Fries(sliced ribeye, 8th Wonder beer cheese wiz, caramelized onions, green onion), S.L.A.B Fries(pulled pork, mozzarella, bbq sauce, avocado crema, diced tomatoes, pickled onions, jalapeno) and the Elote Fries (buttered corn, garlic aioli, hot sauce, cotija cheese, green onion, lime), the S.L.A.B Fries were my absolutely favorite!  Eastie Boys is parked at the 8th Wonder Brewery 8 days a week!!

I met Chef Millo from The Art Institute who guided us through his case dessert- a beer sundae! Chef Millo has been working around the world for over 20 years! He has served foreign dignitaries and two Presidents of the United States, along with the responsibility of producing over 7 million meals during a two year contracting tour in Iraq, for the United States Military. Chef Millo is so thrilled to be apart of the BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival!  Lastly, Aaron gave us a grand tour of the 8th Wonder Brewery, The brewery is decided to crafting fresh, flavorful brews, and they are so proud to be a part of the Houston beerscape!
