Houston Dynamo's at the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup!

Last night Andrew and I went to our first Houston Dynamo game! Houston Dynamo is an American professional soccer club here in Houston! Last night was the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Fourth Round versus San Antonio.

"The Dynamo moved to Houston from San Jose in December 2005 and played their first season in Houston in 2006. The club won consecutive MLS Cup championships in 2006-07 and has been one of the league's leading franchises, domestically and internationally, since its inception."

I actually scored tickets to the game on Groupon! Surprise? Yeah not really. Those of you who are new to my blog, check out my blog post about Groupon

The stadium is still pretty new! It was opened in 2012 so everything is really nice and fresh throughout the stadium. It can also hold about 23K people so it's pretty big. My only compliant was the concession stands. The lines were wayyyy too long! We waited over 45 mins to get water, so lame.

However, my favorite thing about the game was the pep band! They had musical instruments and were chanting all night long. The vibe was always there and when the Dynamo's scored, they would throw streamers. It was hyped!

It was so exciting to finally see a professional soccer game! The Houston Dynamo's beat San Antonio 4-0 and will continue on to the next round in the Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup. Woohooo!! :)
