Sur La Table Cooking Class- Cooking of Southern France!

On Thursday, Andrew plays on a golf league... so I am determined to take advantage of my time alone to learn new things! Last night, I took my second class at Sur La Table! I love how clean the kitchen is setup and how educated the instructors are about cooking, obviously.

Fig Tapenade with Goat Cheese Crostini 

Seared Tuna Niçoise Salad

Steamed Mussels with Fennel and Pernod

Strawberry Rosè Sorbet

It was a  scrumptious dinner in the south of France—no passport required! I really enjoyed working alongside classmates as I learned techniques for everything from making a vinaigrette to perfectly searing tuna to properly steaming shellfish and more. Then we finished on a sweet note with a refreshing homemade sorbet. 

It was a great group of people and our instructor was strictly informative yet kind! It was a great night to meet new people, learn something new, and eat great food!

 I absolutely loved all the food that we made during the Cooking of Southern France Class! It was honestly easy to make and I hope to recreate this dish at home for Andrew and I! I love how the instructor tells you how to get the best quality of food in local grocery stores, how to cook without buying expensive tools, and my importantly teaching us her kitchen tricks!
