Ever since I was a little girl, I loved enjoying ice cream during these hot summertime months. I mean... after a long day out in the sun, ice cream is always a great choice, right?! Well, I couldn't agree with you more! This summer I discovered My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream and I was so excited to give it a try.
So you are probably wondering what My/Mo Mochi ice cream is right? My/Mo Mochi ice cream combines two amazing flavors and textures to create a delicious snack – Sweet Rice Dough and Premium Ice Cream. The Sweet Rice Dough is called Mochi, it is a melt in your mouth, chewy dough. This Mochi is wrapped around milky melty premium ice cream creating the My/Mo Mochi ice cream! YUM!!
This ice cream snack is absolutely perfect for any summertime adventure. Plus, it will blow your mouth’s mind! You still get the treat of ice cream but in a unique and take with you kinda of way. My/Mo Mochi ice cream comes in eight incredible flavors! I personally loved the Ripe Strawberry!

It's no surprise that Andrew and I love to travel. In fact, one of our favorite things about traveling is discovering the best of each city we visit. One state that we keep wanting to explore more of is Colorado. Each season in Colorado offers a unique experience and vacation... this year, we decided to visit Colorado Springs in the summer!
Colorado Springs is one of the most ideal places for unique outdoor fun and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It's the perfect escape for us to leave the hustle and bustle of Houston for a much needed weekend getaway. There is literally something for everyone to enjoy - no matter their age or abilities. I'm so excited to share with you 7 Must-Do's in Colorado Springs!
1. Garden of the Gods
The Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is one of the most visited attractions in the Pikes Peak region! It offers FREE admission, iconic views, fun shopping, museum exhibits, guided tours and so many more fun activities! The park offers biking, hiking and rock climbing too! I love how family friendly the park is with its nice flat walking trails. There is also a Trading Post where you can buy food and beverages...perfect for a picnic! The park isn't too big and the rock formations are just incredible. Our favorite highlight was the Balanced Rock. We seriously cannot believe it doesn't fall over!
2. National Museum of World War II Aviation
For those of you who read my blog constantly, you know my husband Andrew is a huge history buff. He said the museum was "exceptional" compared to all of the other museums he has been to. The museum does a great job at making the history comes live with stories of heroic figures, famous battles, aviation technology and cool restoration stories about these planes and jets that can fly again.
I must admit, the guided tour was much better than I expected it to be. The docent was funny yet serious depending on the story he was telling us. He had lots of stories about time and place where these planes were used and why; strategies, it was just really cool. We had all age groups and you could tell people were engaged. They also have a biennial airshow featuring these planes! Weather you love history or not, you must explore the museum!
3. Pikes Peak
Pikes Peak is named after the initial explorer who discovered the mountain in 1820, Zebulon Pike. The mountain has been identified by Spanish explorers earlier in the 1700s. The mountain is the highest peak in the southern Rockies at 14,115 ft. The admission fee of $15 per person is very reasonable to see this amazing mountain. You can drive up to mile marker 16, then you have to take a shuttle to the summit. If you have children in car seats, on a motorcycle or are handicapped you can drive directly to the summit as the shuttles are not equipped to handle these circumstances.
Once you reach the summit, the view is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! Truly a must-do in Colorado Springs. Make sure to walk slowly and take slow deep breaths at the air is only 60% oxygen compared to 100% at sea level. If you feel light headed, sit down and there is assistance at the gift shop that is at the summit. You MUST visit Pikes Peak to see "America's Mountain" while your exploring the best of Colorado Springs.
4. Penrose Heritage Museum
The Penrose Heritage Museum is truly a hidden gem in Colorado Springs. Not only is the museum free but it's full of local history! It has a great collection of transportation history, some with huge historical significance. We enjoyed the exhibits and car models that represent the cars that have completed the Race Up Pikes Peak. We also learned the history of how the road was built and how the race evolved over the years as more of the road to the top was converted from gravel to payment. It was well worth the hour or so we spent walking through the museum!
4. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
I know what you are thinking... "Really? A zoo? We have those at home!" but I promise you, this zoo is one-of-a kind. We were impressed as soon as we entered the zoo. Take note of "mountain" in the name - literally everything is uphill. We paid the $2 fee to ride the shuttle to the top and then we worked our way down to the exit. There are so very cool exhibits that are designed for you to see the animals in the most natural way. The giraffe feeding was hands down my favorite part of the zoo! For just a few dollars, you can feed the giraffes. Andrew enjoyed watching the elephant training! There is literally something for everyone of all ages and interest to enjoy. Also, your admission ticket includes access to the Shrine of the Sun even higher up the mountain! So once you're done at the zoo, drive to the gate immediately next to the zoo entrance and just show your receipt. You will be then be allowed to drive all the way up the mountain! The views are gorgeous and you will see a full panorama view of the zoo below!
6. Red Rock Canyon
Red Rock Canyon is a long, straight canyon that, amazingly enough, is surrounded by sheer walls of red rock. It is especially interesting that this canyon was originally a quarry. The park has a large variety of trails to walk or bike based on activity levels. The views are truly beautiful and you can even see views of Garden of the Gods! There were joggers, hikers, bikers, strollers, dogs, elderly, youngsters--yes, it's a place for everyone. We hiked a short loop into the park, near the canyon, around cool rock formations. Great views of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Colorado Springs never looked prettier at these views. The lake is gorgeous as you watch the fish swim through the clear water! Red Rock Canyon is so easy to access and offers plenty of parking. It's a must-do while in Colorado Springs!
7. Seven Bridges Trail
This trail is one of the best trails in Colorado Springs. It's beautiful, fun and easy to follow. This is a moderately difficult trail with seven bridges, just as the name suggests but totally worth it! Once you're past the seventh bridge, you can turn around and go back or continue onward up a pretty steep leg of the trail until you reach the top which offers great views! When you enter North Cheyenne Cañon Park, you will drive up a winding road until you reach the Helen Hunt Falls parking lot -- keep going! Shortly after the Helen Hunt Falls trail, you will see a big dirt parking lot (a sign for "Marker 18"). Park here and walk down the dirt road (closed to traffic) for about a mile until you reach the Cheyenne Creek sign on the right. Just past the creek is the entrance to trail 622 on the right hand side of the path. Definitely take the time to enjoy this beautiful trail while in Colorado Springs!
Your trip to Colorado Springs will be an unforgettable adventure for you and your family. I hope these 7 Must-Do’s in Colorado Springs will inspire you to discover the best of your Colorado outdoor adventure or add a few items to your Colorado bucket list! Make sure you stop and soak up the beauty of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region!

2. Wear a comfortable yet supportive bra.
I did say 6 ways for women to feel great, right? Every woman knows that a bra can make or break our day. I honestly hate wearing anything but a sports bra. In fact, I own more sport bras than I do any other bra. I was so excited that Champion was in my Babbleboxx! Not only am I a huge fan of Champion Athletic wear but Champion sport bras never let me down. The Curvy Strappy Champion sports bra has molded cups for shape and support! It was so comfortable to wear at the gym and it was even stylish. What more could a girl ask for?! Click here to learn more about the curvy strappy champion sports bra!
3. Get lost in a good book.
How many times have you picked up a book and just couldn't put it down? That's literally how I felt with The Myth of A Nice Girl. I was so inspired by the female empowerment and all of the career guidance that I just couldn't stop reading it! "The truth is that no matter how confident you are or how much you prepare, not every risk you take is going to turn our exactly how you'd like". If you are looking for a guide to succeed in life without losing yourself in the process, then click here to learn more about the book! I love spending my evenings by the pool with a glass of wine and a good book to help me inspire me.
4. Enjoy a wellness candle.
One of my favorite ways to relax is to enjoy a candle. I’ve been such a huge fan of Chesapeake Bay Candles so I was so excited to find the wellness fragrance in my Babbleboxx. Chesapeake Bay Candles are not only soy wax blended candles but they deliver a clean burn. They are also designed and poured right here in the US. But my favorite thing about Chesapeake Bay Mind & Body is that they are infused with natural essential oils. I’m absolutely in love with my Balance & Harmony candle. It’s so balanced and relaxing to me. You can click here to learn more about the wellness candle. Make sure to get one for yourself and a friend!
5. Invest in UV eyewear.
You don’t have to need contacts or glasses to wear eyewear. Zenni Optical create clear lens glasses and prescription glasses that block HEV blue light and provide maximum UV protection with minimal color distortion. Wheather you’re working in the office or enjoying sunset view – Zenni glasses can protect yours from harmful blue light. I loved the glasses in my Babblebox so much that I bought more glasses online on their website. Zenni Optical also has blue blocker sunglasses! Make sure you click here to learn more about Zenni Optical and to order your next pair of glasses!
6. Add a daily health booster into your routine.
There is no better way to start your day than with a health boost or organic smoothie! Babbleboxx sent me some great products from Pure Synergy: Organic Beet Juice Powder & Turmeric Extract! I was so excited about the products that I tried both of them. I honestly noticed a huge difference between how I felt… The organic beet juice powder is a daily health booster. It’s so easy to make in the morning and has tons of phytonutrients! The Turmeric Extract optimizes your wellness and cognitive function. Plus, it’s great for after a workout because it helps heals inflamed muscles/aches. I truly felt so much better after taking the Turmeric Extract after my workout. I noticed a huge difference in my recovery and how I felt the next day.

I will never forget the first time I stayed in a hotel for work. I think I was maybe 21 or 22… I had just graduated from college and had started working at my first big girl job. When I was asked to join my boss on a business trip and I was so excited about the opportunity itself that I didn’t think of all the things I needed to pack.
When we arrived at the hotel, I didn’t realize how unprepared I was for my stay. I remember not being able to sleep through the night because I heard doors slamming and people chatting as they walked down the hallway. I will never forget how unpersonal the room felt to me – and how I felt homesick throughout my stay.
However, I can honestly say that now I’m a Road Warrior. I stay in a hotel at least a 100 days out of the year for work and I know first hand how important it is to have these 7 secret items with you. Whether you stay just a couple times a year or if you’re a Road Warrior like me, you can take advantage of these items! So in efforts to help you avoid torturing yourself at your next hotel stay, here are my 7 Secrets to Being a Road Warrior!
1. Bose® Noise-masking Sleepbuds™
Hotel walls are very thin and getting a good night sleep can be hard. Nothing is more annoying than hearing people walking up and down the hallway all night long or those heavy hotel doors slamming. Thankfully, I discovered Bose® noise-masking sleepbuds™ at my local Best Buy.
Bose® noise-masking sleepbuds™ help block out noise so you can get the rest you deserve. Instead of streaming music, Bose® sleepbuds™ deliver soothing sounds that cover up unwanted nighttime noises and help you fall asleep and stay asleep. Bose® noise-masking sleepbuds™ are NOT Noise Canceling and DO NOT play music.
Not only are Bose® sleepbuds™ comfortable but they are made to stay in place all night long – no matter how you sleep. The rechargeable batteries and case make it even easier to use. The rechargeable silver-zinc micro batteries in the sleepbuds™ provide up to 16 hours of use off one charge. However, I love using The Bose® Sleep app because it allows you to set wake-up alarms that only you can hear, so you won't disturb the person sleeping next to you! And because Bose® is always working to bring you the best possible experience, more features and soothing sounds will be available through future software updates!
2. Extra Long Phone Charger
Every hotel is different – some have many outlets throughout the room while others only have a few. I always bring my extra long phone charger with me with when I travel or stay I in a hotel. I love to browse the web or watch movies on my phone so having an extra long phone charger that reaches me no matter where the outlet may be is key!
3. Reusable Water Bottle
Why spend extra money at the vending machine or hotel lobby on water? Bring a reusable water bottle and take advantage of the water fountains! I also keep a water bottle in my hotel room... I hate waking up in the middle of the night thirsty with no water in my room.
4. Pictures from home
Whether I stay in a hotel just for a day or weeks at a time – I always bring pictures from home. It’s just a simple way to make sure room feel more like home and a little cozier.
I cannot stand to walk barefoot on hotel floors! I always bring a pair of slippers with me when I travel.
From those of you who travel a lot – you know that hotels have a different kind of scent to them. I love to bring a candle with me to make the room smell like more like home. It honestly helps me sleep better and gives me a cozier vibe in my room!
7. Reusable Bag
I cannot mix dirty laundry with my clean clothes so I ALWAYS bring a reusable bag! They are perfect to use for dirty shoes too!
I don’t have a good travel experience unless I have these 7 keys items; reusable water bottle, photos from home, Bose® noise-masking sleepbuds™, reusable bag for laundry, candles, slippers, and an extra long phone charger. Make sure you stop by Best Buy or head over to BestBuy.com to pick up a pair of Bose® noise-masking sleepbuds™, and bring home an amazing product that truly helps you sleep better!
What are you hotel must-have items?!
