As two small town kids, “brunching” wasn’t really a thing for us but now that we live in Houston, brunching is a habit! Who doesn’t love brunch? I mean it’s basically like code for “celebrating life,” right?
Houston is one of the largest cities in the nation ranking in at #4 on the list! Andrew’s parents decided to visit us this summer so ultimately we came up with a list of must-do’s based off their personal enjoyments!
Buffalo Bayou Park is probably my favorite park in Houston right now. It is about 160 acres in the heart of Houston! You have skyline views, artwork, dog park, hike and bike trails, and so many people meet up to play sports!
After work, Andrew and I just want to eat and relax. We are both finally entering our career field so we are both working long and sometimes stressful hours. We both try to motivate each other to do things after work if we have the free time instead of binge watching Netflix.
On Saturday, two of our friends came to Houston to double date the game! After parking in the city, we decided to grab lunch before the game. We went to Guadalajara Del Ce. It was on our way to the ball park, close to where we parked and had great reviews!
The 115 acre property has 32 springs, which several feed the manmade pool and provide the natural pool which flows into Lake Travis. The property also features a beautiful Butterfly Garden, a waterfall, and fun rope swing!
